Introducing The New HR Open Source Brand Platform
This week marks a milestone for HR Open Source. Two years ago, we stood on the stage of the LinkedIn Talent Connect conference unveiling HROS to the world in the opening keynote. We'll never forget that experience. It was a real moment of truth to spin this thing we'd been putting so much into building out into the world and see how it would land with the HR and recruiting communities.
Two years later it seems like such a long time ago. HROS has grown to over 4,500 members around the world. We've traveled from Johannesburg to Sydney meeting with practitioners and learning about new approaches to the world of work. We've been fortunate to partner with sponsors who share our vision for a more collaborative and open field and ensure all the resources will always be free for practitioners.
This week we're heading back to where it started - Talent Connect. We'll be debuting our new HR Open Source deck and leading an interactive workshop on collaborative problem-solving. We'll also be unveiling a new look.
A New Look
We're both design nerds. While we appreciate great creative, neither of us have actual design skills. Most of the visual identity you've seen from HROS over the past two years is stuff we've hacked together via Canva or other tools. As we approached our two year anniversary, we felt it was time for a refresh.
We partnered with our friends Bryan Adams and Dave Hazelhurst to collaborate with their firm, Ph Creative. We were familiar with their work and design aesthetic and had collaborated with them before on the Virgin Media case study, so it was a natural fit (despite some fantastic firms we considered during the scoping process.
We wanted to retain the lightning bolt roots, but expand the color palette to something more vibrant and engaging that mirrored the diverse HROS community. We're thrilled with where we landed, and excited to unveil our new logo.
Say hello to the new HROS logo! We're bringing some new swag to Talent Connect, and HR Tech World Congress in Amsterdam later this month, so if you're there be sure to find us.
We've updated the HROS shop so if you want to rep the new logo you can do so soon (below).
Much more to come...
