What Is HROS

HR Open Source

HR Open Source is a volunteer not-for-profit, peer-to-peer knowledge sharing community bringing open source learning approaches to the global field of HR and recruiting.

Founded by Ambrosia Vertesi and Lars Schmidt, our intention is transform the field of HR to become more strategic and innovative by democratizing access to ideas, education, and inspiration. Simply put, to make it easier for practitioners to access the peers, knowledge, and resources that they need to thrive. At zero cost to them.

We work to achieve this through building high value community forum resources, social networks, events, and peer contributed case studies. All designed to be actioned by practitioners.

HR Open Source consists of two major components - Community and Content. Community involves robust conversation and collaboration across our social communities. Content involves curating and creating detailed practitioner case studies designed to showcase sound practices and emerging innovative approaches by featuring organizations who have successfully designed, launched, and measured meaningful HR and recruitment initiatives.

Our long term aim is to develop a global network and knowledge bank of peer-contributed resources that will enable practitioners build better organizations and elevate the field together.

Every voice matters. Share yours.
